When the wind blows

One of the comments that was posted for "selfish lovers" had this quote "Truth be told we need these kind of people in our life to make us stronger. Iron sharpens iron and men sharpen men. We have to have patient endurance and wait on God to send the wind that is going to blow those needy people out of our path." I thought this was quite ironic because I just finished reading Tyler Perry's new book Madea's commentaries Don't Make A Black woman take off her earrings, where Madea uses the same analogy. Madea says that some people come in your life for seasons and some for a lifetime. Some people are like the leaves on a tree; when their season is over they wither and die and blow away. What I've learned from reading the comments and as funny as it sounds from Madea is that everyone who comes into our lives God brings them for a reason and until they have served their purpose (until we have learned a lesson from them or taught them something) we need to endure the message that God is trying to give us. So until God blows the dead leaves we must take in the beauty that comes with the Fall.

"...So until God blows the dead leaves we must take in the beauty that comes with the Fall". What a profound statment. "take in the beauty" Wow - that's is deep. This reminds me of Romans 8:28 - God blows (for our good), the dead leaves (for our good), take in the beauty (for our good) that comes with the "Fall" (season) and the "fall" (the dead leaves dropping off)...the season and the dead leaves dropping off (for our good). Even the "selfish lovers" - they are for our good.

Wow Nik,
I'm lost for words.Endure the message God is trying to give us huh.Yes I'm trying to Endure, going to Endure....
Gets a bit hard at times but I never'' Visualized'' it quite like you wrote it.So until God Blows the dead leaves we must take in the Beauty that comes wiith the Fall.I will write that one in my journal and refer back to it from time to time.So I await the breath of God.

WOW doesn't even touch how right you are!!! I know that every person that I have come in contact with was put in my path for a reason, even if I could not see it at the time. The only thing I would add to this is that we need to embrace the wind when it is a soft breeze and not wait for the catagory 5 hurricane to blow those problem/people out of our lives.

One more thing to thing about; when there are a lot of dead leaves hanging on hanging on the tree, it makes it harder to see the beauty of those healthy ones.
