The Right Way

Have you ever been at a crossroads in your life? You know where you had to make a decision of going left or right, saying yes or no, leaving or staying, or even finding a new job or staying with your current one. At these times it becomes so hard to know which decision to make or which will have the best outcome for you. Many of us battle within ourselves to make the easy choice, the choice that will cause us the least amount of discomfort. Someone once told me "to make a difference is to inconvenience yourself." And truly I know most of the time we chose not to fight or inconvenience ourselves. God give us all free will and through that free will we make decisions that shape our lives. The hard thing about free will is that you never know if you've chosen the right way. In times of tribulation I find it's best to sit back and be quiet for a while and try to allow God's voice lead you the right way. He knows better than all and he is the creator of your big picture.

Crossroads are tests of faith. Sitting and waiting to hear the voice of God is always the right way. God gives us all our own free will and what you do with that free will is very important. Using our free will to please God should be everyone's goal but of course that is not always the case. There are always two options. One is to go to God and the other is to do what you want. That seems like an easy decision but when you really think about it for most people it's not. Most people are quick to say, O that's easy, I choose to go to God. But let's be honest. Going to God means being faced with the one thing you are wanting to run away from which makes choosing God not that easy. So many people take God for granted because they know what a forgiving God He is. They stand at the crossroads afraid to face what is before them so they take the attitude of well for this situation I will do what I want because I know that God will forgive me later. So today God I choose me and what I want, but Lord I will choose you tomorrow. This world is filled with so many people who claim to serve God and know His Word. These people claim to have a strong relationship with God and have such strong faith in Him. But whenever they give up in any situation they fail to see that their faith isn't as strong as they claim it to be. God is looking for us to have faith in everything in our lives. When at these crossroads people need to realize one thing and one thing only. It's not about me, you or anyone. It's about Him. Your faith in Him.

The right way takes discipline. In every decision or choice that we make God has already provided the "right" path for us to take. The time has come for us to stop being so dependent on our wants/emotions and making decisions based on them. We must be alert and keen in the spirit and know that each day has already be planned/ordained by God. He knew us before we were placed in our mother's wombs. Yet Him being the gentleman that He is, gave us a choice/free will to do "it" the right way or our way.

Since the 1st Adam took the wrong path, God had to send the 2nd Adam - Jesus to correct the wrong and show us that we can do the will of the Father and not our own.
